The union push from some Kellogg employees is happening against a backdrop of transformation at the food giant.

In a statementwhen the split was first announced, Kellogg CEO Steve Cahillane said each business has “significant standalone potential, and an enhanced focus will enable them to better direct their resources toward their distinct strategic priorities.”
